Trying to configure wake on motion interrupt, Gone through the official datasheet but not able to get information how to calculate threshold value for icm20948 and what are the steps to achieve wake on motion.

Hello, I am migrating an application using the MPU9250 to the ICM-20948. Such an application exploited the DMP TAP_DETECTION feature (with a suitable threshold) to detect collisions against a pole. I am now a bit lost in the ICM-20948 features as I see that TAP_DETECTION is no more supported. Which of the available features is intended to replace the TAP_DETECTION one? SMD? and if SMD is valid, how it is possible to set a milli-g threshold for SMD, for example?

Thank you very much

Hi, we are using the ICM-20948 in real time environment. The device is supposed to provide the geomagnetic rotation vector in order to to be able to calculate the orientation of the system but the rate of change is so slow that it does not detect sudden movements and has a 10 seconds delay aprox to detect a 180° yaw turn. It is not a sample rate problem since the information comes out at the correct frequency but with very small changes even with large turns

Hello. I'm using the InvenSense Device Driver library to obtain the data of an accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope from an ICM-20948. Most of those values seems to be fine, but the accelerometer have a default full-scale range of +-1g, and for my application it's needed to be at least +-2g.

Is there a function i can use to change that full-scale range?

Thanks.

Dear TDK Community,

I am working on an application developement with the SmartBug. Therefore I am looking for a workaround to get the sensor raw data without using the windows app to use it online with MATLAB. Are there any experiences or recomendations? Any hints would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards
Chris

We are able to bring up the the DK-20648 and is up and we are able to run the example code, we have also built the example project given. So all the development, build and debug environment is up and Able to read all the accelerometer and gyro and temp sensor raw data.

Now we would like to understand from you how to configure the chip for providing direct output for various activities such as, pan/tilt, idling, walking, running, climbing stairs etc. We expect all these activities are directly available from the ICM-20648 chip directly.

Kindly guide us.

Hi
I would like some help on whether to use ICM20689 or ICM42605 instead of the MPU6050. I know that the ICM42605 is cheaper and it has a better spec. on the gyro. However it doesn't have a DMP but has a APEX Motion Processing engine instead.
