I am looking for some recommended values to use for a fitness/motion tracker application. I am interested to know settings for range, filtering, update rate for the MP9250 chipset. If there are some demo examples, documentation that would help me a lot here

thanks

Good morning everyone!
I'm experiencing some issues with the MPU9250 pedometer and lp quaternions:
when reading the data respectively from the DMP and the FIFO I get incoherent data from the pedometer (step count growing much higher than the number of steps) and the quaternions (the last two elements perfectly match the quaternion I calculate myself on the acquired sensors data, while the first goes randomly high and the seconds is always 0).
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Using the Motion Driver 6.12 APIs and enabling the 9-axis sensor fusion on the MPU9250 for calibration of the gyro using the magnetometer: is there a way to determine when the unit is in 6-axis and 9-axis mode.

The units have not been calibrating properly, even after using figure 8 motions. There seems to be an unrestricted angular drift around the y-z plane. I would like to confirm that the unit is in-fact in 9-axis mode. The test environment has low magnetic fields and magnetic north reads as approximately 49uT.

Hi All,
Am using MPU-9250 to control the movement of my setup by using 2 motors. Out of 3 Euler angles i can control the pitch movement in one motor and yaw in other. Roll movement has to be handled by the above 2 motors only. But am finding difficult to derive an logic to control the movement with 2 motors. Can anyone please help me on this, to control the 3 Euler angle movement using 2 motors. Thanks in advance.

I am using Motion Driver 6.12 package and I have ported it to NXP's LPC11U68 Xpresso board.

I am not able to get the MPL running due to failures: 1] NAK for reg_addr=0 AND 2] dmp_load_motion_driver_firmware() fails.

I tried with two units of MPU9150 and I am getting the same error, I am using the code from the STM32F4 board example.

Hey everybody,

we are some students building an electrical racecar and we want to use the MPU-6000 with the DMP to get some datas.

Is there any library to use the DMP with an SPI-Inbterface?
I found the motion driver 5.1.3 / 6.12 and there I only can find drivers for I2C.

How can I port the DMPP library to the SPI interface?

thanks,
Marvin

Hi all,

I have registered a developer account, although I can't actually download the MotionDriver 6.12 package - it is reporting an error of "You don't have access to do this".

Is this an issue with the site, or I need to ask for elevated privileges to gain access to this library?

I want to know what can possibly cause MPU-6050 self test fail. Does that mean that the chip is permanently damaged ?

I'm using motion driver 6.1

When tried with GY-521 eval board, the test passes successfully, but on my custom hardware it fails :(
